Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Thursday, October 17, at 6:30 p.m. to hear local author Mary Kilroy discuss her new memoir, Up the House: Old Colony Housing Project, South Boston 1944-1954. Growing up in Boston public housing with Irish immigrant parents and five brothers, Ms. Kilroy experienced an idyllic childhood with tight family bonds. Her memoir is full of family mementos, photographs, maps, and local history. The program will be held at North Branch Dartmouth Library.
Mary Kilroy is an Early Childhood Educator at Bristol Community College. She is a first-time author who lives in Westport, MA.
